Pointform Update
- Europe was fantastic. Ate some good food, saw lots of interesting things, took a few nice pictures (which will be up once I customize the software I installed on my server), had some fun, even saw a few shows. I sorta tried keeping a travel journal, but that didn’t really work out too well, memories are still fresh so I’ll try to hammer together something for my travel blog site.
- My Macbook’s LCD broke last term. It was at a pretty decent time since it was right before exams. I finished all, but one, of my programming assignments and only had 1 class which required a computer for the final, which was manageable. I gotta order a new screen off eBay and get somebody to install it for me so I can start working on some of my side projects.
- Speaking of side projects, I started writing up my payoff function MATLAB file. Got some cool strategies implemented; currently working on the wedding cake payoff.
- Got myself a Wii and Guitar Hero 3 to pass the time this summer. Brendan let me borrow a few more games, most notable is Mario Galaxy. Also waiting for Mother 3 to be translated so I can have something else to do.
- I did really well last term, even with my horrendous 3-fourth-year-math-exams-in-the-first-36-hours-of-finals schedule, so I don’t need to take bird- courses this term to graduate with an average I can be proud of. Working in trading for 8 months has really helped me in school, i.e. I am better able to handle pressure and work with really tight deadlines.
- I am only taking 1 class this term: ACTSC 445. Asset-Liability Management. I figure this will be pretty useful for work so I might as well learn it now than in September.
- Getting caught up in all the TV I missed last term. At least I have something else to keep me busy since I’m pretty bored right now…
